You roam the halls of this massive stone temple. The complexity of which is hidden from most since the face of the temple is usually all that is seen. You see intricately carved doors bound shut by beautiful and complex locks. Runes glow from the door frames and signs are clear about where you are not permitted to travel. Suddenly you are frozen in your tracks and a single tear falls from your eye. Music, the most beautiful music you have ever heard coming from the hall up ahead. You walk forward and find a door that is slightly ajar. You peek inside to see an old man wearing a simple flowing tunic and blue leggings. A burgundy sash covers his midsection. His face is clothed with a finely trimmed mustache and goatee. His eyes are covered with a blindfold. The beautiful sound that drove a tear from your eye is flowing from a violin resting on the man's shoulder.

I slip through the open door, and step softly toward the man. I sit on the floor to his left and close my eyes, listening to him play, waiting to see if he notices my presence.

He plays for what feels like an hour. The expressions on his face denote pure ecstasy. You find yourself going through a multitude of emotions from joy to sorrow. Soon he draws the last note and sets the masterful instrument down on a small table next to him. He takes a sip of water and he turns his blindfolded face toward you.

"Your presence is sweet child, thank you for listening." A smile crosses his face. "What brings you the room of an old man?"

Kratimos rubbed his eyes, not fully accustomed to the sunlight.
"So it might seem," He answered. Kratimos turns and gently beckons to the little girl to come this way.

"So, where are we?"

"The Grand Necropolis. You're in the heart of Agranon, the site of the first Battle of the Darktide." He looks at you curiously,"How did you wind up in that sealed tomb young man?"

"Oh, just your standard talking magic door." Kratimos shrugged casually, "You know how they go. Trying to get this little lady to her father, but..."
Kratimos paused and his voice dropped. "He'll be staying here.
His eyes lingered with sadness on the girl.
Turning back, he asked the man "Might I ask who you would be? ...and thank you."

"Just a traveler, friend. A passerby if you will." He steps away from the door and walks a few paces to a white brick laden road. "You're going to want to travel this way," He points in the direction of your left. "Once you get to the intersection, turn right and head south until you get to the Port of Agronon. Once there, seek the entrance to Underport. It's a place to lay low for someone in your...." He points to your mark, "Condition."

Kratimos' right eyebrow raised and gruffly murmurs. He never was a fan of of people not being straight forward with him.
"The underport, eh? Well, I thank you for your help. I'll be sure to make my way there, but, first things first."

Kratimos turns and crouches next to the little girl, "Hey kid, do you know where your family lives?"

The girl looks up. Her brown eyes look enormous as they stare up at you. She slowly shakes her hair no. "My...my daddy was all I had left."

I am sorry if I interrupted you. I heard you from the main corridor. Your music was so profound, I needed to hear more. Are you, by chance, a bard? I smile at him, knowing that he cannot see it.I am sure you can tell that my presence is not one who follows Oldimarra. I am hoping you can tell me some stories anyway?

"I'm an old man my dear. I've traveled the world and have collected so much from the stories of others. What is it that I can do for you?" He smiles and waits patiently for your response.

The words cut deeper than Kratimos cared to admit. What fractured lives we lead. He sighed deeply.
Kneeling down, Kratimos put his hand on the girl's head.
"What's your name, child? My name is Kratimos."

((Based on her answer))
"Well, _____, would you like to come along with me, then?"

((Provided she agrees))
Kratimos lifts the girl up on his shoulders and they begin down the road to the left, on the way to the Underport.

"Anna Loretta," she replies as she looks at her feet, suddenly bashful. "Woo...Woofie...I..I would like if....if I can go with you." Her foot kicks the dust, "I'm scared those men who hurt my daddy would try to get me too."

She climbs up on your back. You turn toward the road and notice the man is gone and in his place, a pile of clothing, a small sack, and a piece of paper.

"Do you find it funny that the Lich is a man from this age yet a god who is ageless? When Mellifluer stole the skull from the tomb he became one who was outside of time. You see the relic is what binds the creature to godhood. As strange as it would seem, if someone else would perhaps wear such an artifact, they too would become like the Lich. At the same time, the relic is bound in this reality. In binding the relic here it can do the opposite as well."
