A lot of people hate the chao garden, I thought.

I am pretty sure the people who hate it is a pretty small group, (This is actually the first I ever heard of anyone hating it. XD)
the fan base is actually pretty big on the other hand.
I myself like it because it gave Sonic Adventure 2 a crazy amount of replay value,
It gave me a reason to reply a lot of levels to collect rings and power cores.
I am also one who likes to grind and raise pets. (So, it kinda makes since why I like it so much. XD)
It was also fun to see how well your chao preforms in a race, or karate.
It was just relaxing and enjoyable.
Now, I honestly don't understand why someone would hate it.
I am pretty sure some people just don't care for it.
It's optional after all. (ranting about it would just seem plain silly.)
Well, sorry for derailing your discussion you were trying to start Redeemed. (So I will try this again.)

I know I said this before, (Like a day ago) but...DeadManReedeemed wrote:So, what would you want for the next Sonic game (besides the HD remake of Sonic Adventure 2)?
anything with a chao garden.

I'd like a game that's centered around the Chao. With online competitions and battling.
Grinding the Chao may be the same, but they could make it less tedious by making a few changes. For instance, instead of grabbing animals/food manually and giving it to the Chao, there can be a menu system where you can select and assign the animal/food you want to use on each Chao.
It may be a bit of a Pokemon clone, but I would be okay with that. World of Warcraft is going to have Pokemon battles soon, and it seems to be a very popular among casual gamers, so I think a game like this could be a huge hit if done right.

I hope they make Sonic Factory for Wii U. Creating your own Sonic levels? Both modern and classic? Sounds awesome. Why did they stop making it?

Yes, in fact we did read the first comment. I suppose that would be pretty awesome, though the community would have to come up with some amazing levels to make it a worthwhile buy for me.

Yeah, although the levels we're amazing already.

Hmmm... making custom stages would be pretty cool. (Kinda makes me think of Track Mania for some reason.DeadManReedeemed wrote:I hope they make Sonic Factory for Wii U. Creating your own Sonic levels? Both modern and classic? Sounds awesome. Why did they stop making it?

I am not sure why they would cancel it. (maybe due to fear of it hindering the sales of future Sonic games at the time.)
Though they seem to add something new to each game now, so it might not be a bad idea to make Sonic Factory in the near future.
Well till then if you really wanted to make a somewhat custom Sonic level, you can always use the level editor that's in the classic Sonic games.
(You just wouldn't be able to save it.)

Well it's not necessarily a level editor, but you can add stuff to levels with it.
(Though once you restart the game everything will go back to normal.)
It's normally known as config mode, or more so known as debug mode.
While in debug mode you can place stuff like rings, monitors, enemies, traps, etc. (somethings are different depending on what stage your on.)
You can even turn yourself into super Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails at the very start of the game. (the characters depend on what game of course.)
You can turn on debug mode by just pressing a combination of buttons at the title or level select screen.
If you want I could post them.

Sure, why not?
Also, JOJ. Check the General Disscussion forum.
Look for Wii U.
Be amazed. I just found a way for Christ Centered Gamer to be truly connected. At least I hope so.
Found a good Sonic video.
Also, it is obvious why this video has over 3 million views.

I'm a pretty big Sonic fan myself. The first one I completed was Sonic 3 on the Sonic & Knuckles collection. My first console was the Sega Dreamcast because I just had to get Sonic Adventure 1.
Here's how I rate the games, in my unbiased, unadulterated opinion
Best (in order):
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Sonic 2
Sonic CD
Sonic 1
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Generations
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Unleashed + Sonic Colors
Sonic R
Sonic 4: Episode 1
Worst:
Sonic 06
Sonic 3D Blast
And I'm not sure where to put the handhelds, or Secret Rings. I probably need to play more of those.
Overall, I still think Sonic Adventure 1 is one of the best Sonic games ever made. I say that because it was revolutionary when it came out (the closest thing we had to true 3D Sonic was Sonic R), you weren't forced to play any other characters and it was the closest thing to Classic Sonic gameplay in 3D. So while Unleashed and Colors can be fun, they don't capture the gameplay of the originals. SA1 does, albeit the big issues the game has.
And oh yeah, SA1 was the last Sonic game to capture the antagonistic relationship between Sonic and Knuckles of the old games, and kept Knuckles true to his original back story. Now Knuckles is just Sonic's useless friend.
I think the ongoing issue with Sonic's games is that SEGA refuses to build off the strengths of their games. For instance, if they fixed the issues of Sonic Adventure 1 and just improved it, we could have a great Sonic game on our hands. While Sonic Adventure 2 might've improved some things, making you play as other characters ruined the experience.
I also think Sonic Heroes has the best 3D level design, in that its very close to the original games, but what Sonic game came after it? Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06, argubly the worst games of the franchise. If they just let you play as only one character, the game would've been spot on with the classic games. It had level design that was very much like the old games and even brought back the special stages.
Even with Sonic Generations, they're refusing to do DLC's for levels from the other games. There's lots of levels that Sega could modernize (for instance Ice Cap from Sonic 3 or Quartz Quadrant from Sonic CD). Instead, they just scrap the work they've done and move on. The only thing I can say is that Sonic Generations is the only Sonic game that greatly improved upon its predecessors (Colors and Unleashed) probably since Sonic 3.
Or take the Sonic 4 Ep 1, which I've found to be just a marketing stunt for retro fans. Instead of improving the legitimate faults with their 3D games.
