I think the bottom line is that non Christians already know about the dirty laundry of the church... it is a 1990 idea that says lets not put it all out there in front of everybody.. In this day and age it is all out there and the best way to address it is to have these conversations openly and in front of any that want to listen. It is good that the public realizes that not all Christians agree on every topic.
