This would actually be the first big sale where I spent more than 15 or so dollars. XD
Skyrim, BattleBlock Theater, and a second copy of Don't Starve since it's going to have multiplayer soon.

Yeesh, so far I have five copies of the first card. In fact, I received two of them today as part of my team winning. Anyone interested in some trades? Or should we set up a different thread for that?

Wow... o_O
Yeah, I think here is fine as there isn't a whole lot of posting going on in this thread.
If there is a sudden burst of posts, then yeah trading conversations should be moved into a new thread.

I am actually seeking one of the first cards, though currently I am only trading one of the #2 cards...which you have.
Though I will let you know if I gain other cards that you may want.
(I am also currently looking for cards #6 #7 #8 by the way.)

I don't even know the purpose of these cards, so if I have any you want, let me know. XD

Once you collect a full set, you can turn them in for a badge. I think it also awards you a profile background and an emoticon, too.

I'd just like to get at least one badge this time around. I missed out during the last one.

For some reason, I find these trading card / badge elements oddly addictive....

What do those things do?

I guess what I'm asking is do these things do anything, or is it just another ploy to get me to buy stuff?

More than likely it's just another ploy to get you to buy things. ;) It looks like crafting the badges can earn you items for certain games, too, but since I don't have / play any of the games (except TF2), I haven't given that aspect much of a look.

Hmm...well, I did notice that there are people that actually purchase these things. O_o Just for a few cents, but still.

Yeah, they're cheap. I got a couple bucks selling my extra ones, which I used towards games.

I got an extra #2. I'm looking for #3, #6. I also got a foil which I sold. So far I have only bought Defy Gravity and One Way Heroics. Both of them are very cheep and OWH is very fun.

Yeah, if you have absolutely no interest in the trading cards or Steam levels or anything, feel free to sell them! There are plenty of suckers out there to buy them!

Suckers like me.

Incidentally, if you're feeling charitable...

I have an extra #3 and am still needing #4, #5 and #10. So if you get extras of any of those, I can trade you. :)

Thanks, but a friend and I were helping each other out and I just crafted the badge. Unfortunatly, it didn't go as well as I wanted. 1. I should have waited till my team was winning. 2. I was hoping to get some Über rare item for a game that I could sell for some $_$, but instead got an ugly, common skull for Path of Exile. 3. I got a red team background and emoticon despite being on the green team. Well, at least the badge still looks cool :).
