Morrowind is definitely a great game and I sunk many hours into it and the expansions as well.

It always seems that at the moment that horses are introduced as a mode of transportation, that games always tend to suffer somewhat. Which is why Morrowind is the best of the newer elder scrolls games.

Did anyone actually use horses in Skyrim?

I guess I just fast traveled or walked everywhere. Horses weren't sneaky enough.

Horses, like everything in Skyrim was meaningless. Which is why I consider it a bad game. I may get lost in Morrowind, but atleast I am not forced to rely on a stupid horse.

I actually liked the horses, but they were too limited. After level...6, or maybe 8, I was always able to run faster than them. XD Now, if they had made them upgradeable (with armor, spell buffs, ETC) it would've rocked. Never mind the broken blessing that was fast travel.

No mount should ever have those options, the last thing we need is another situation of mounts being required (ala A-Creed 3). It takes too much away from exploring the world around you and requires the horse in stupid little missions. You can tell that I hate horses in video games.

Amusingly enough, and if I recall correctly, there had been plans to have mounts in Morrowind. They were in Daggerfall, the preceding game. However, they ran out of time to fully develop the feature, so it was dummied out. Obviously, this turned out for the best - although there are a few mods to put it back in, including at least one that allows you to ride guars.

So... I'm getting the consensus that Morrowind is vastly better than Skyrim (I had already heard that about Oblivion, and from what I've heard and experienced briefly, I'm inclined to agree). Is that a pretty accurate depiction?

Skyrim is for frat boys who play Call of Duty and Madden. Morrowind is for gamers who play games like Baldurs Gate.

Let me ask you something, what is your first immediate reaction whenever somebody keeps tapping you on the shoulder saying "Hello!" or "Hey! Listen!"

Shoot them in the face.

I'm hardly a frat boy gamer. I lean towards games like Deus Ex, The Witcher, and Dark Souls. Heck, when I sold off my 360 and collection to pay the bills I was complimented on having a collection that was pure high grade titles. And this wasn't at Gamestop, this was at a little small town store full of elitists that had more SNES games than modern ones. Yet I liked Skyrim. Sure, bits here and there were broken, or plain sucked. But as a whole it was a solid game.

Wasn't a bad game, but there were problems with a few things. Wasn't really that rewarding.

What, precisely, would you call rewarding? Sure it may not have had that storyline completely curving effect like some games, but it's an open world game. Wasn't it rewarding enough watching cities change rulers, guilds rise and fall, and so forth?

By rewarding, I mean that the civil war rewards sucked.
