Thanks so much for the encouragement, guys. I really appreciate it. :3

Anyways, I took a crash course in using another video editing program. Hopefully that might help with the low mic issues until I can get something better than the cheap Logitech doohickey I'm shackled to at the moment. I've tossed up a new video showcasing what I've learned so far and with a heaping side of impromptu hilarity.

I've actually recorded a few episodes in bulk, and I'm in the process of editing the lot now. If you've got any suggestions for challenges for me to complete while I'm playing on the map, please do leave a comment here or on the video for consideration. I'll likely take about 15 to 20 challenges max for the series proper, and I'll likely start taking the challenges seriously the next time I record a batch of episodes. :3

I'll be streaming live again in about an hour or so from this post, so be on the look out. I'll lay out a few more ideas either then or in further detail over my Thursday Thoughts blogposts.

Thanks again for the support, guys. I'd hug y'all if I could.

Stay awesome,
-Lioness

Iiiit's Wednesday. Where'd Tuesday go? Uh. Don't answer that question. (heehee)

As announced in the last post, here's Episode 2 of my little survival series. :3

I'm starting to have second thoughts on bulk recording episodes simply because it's now taking at least 18 hours for a finished HQ video to properly render out of Premiere @@;; ... If I wanted to render them out faster, I'll have to sacrifice the HQ option. What are your thoughts on this, guys? Should I sacrifice HQ to render out the remaining 8 or 9 videos I have in queue? OR, should I buckle down and keep the HQ element, even though the raw recorded footage is pretty grainy and low quality to start with and will potentially get worse with YouTube compression? (This might be reiterated on my Thursday Thoughts blogthing, so take your time to think it over, guys. No need for snapfast advice here :3)

Anyways, as soon as Episode 4 finishes rendering, I'll likely start my Wednesday hangout stream over on Twitch. I'll be starting at my usual time (likely around 7 or 8ish PM, Lord, nerves, and technology willing.) As of the timestamp on this post, that should be about 4 hours or so.

That should be it for now, you happy lot. Thanks for the support and the help, all, and I'll see you guys later :3

I'll watch your videos later when I get the chance!

As for your livestream, I would've been able to make it if I didn't have to sleep. >_>

Forgiven, Kryt. I still appreciate the support. :3

Anyways, slapped up another episode of LoaPOB over on my YouTube channel and I've added another post to my Thursday Thoughts blog. When you happy lot have a chance to look, feel free to give a quick browse through at your leisure.

Currently considering expanding my horizons, but I'm kind of waiting on building a stronger core audience first. Here's hoping things start looking up! :D

Just be very patient. It takes some people years before they see any popularity. :)

I'm in it for the long haul, that's for sure.

Speaking of long hauls, though... Sorry about my silence this past week. Have a Thursday Thoughts as a thank you for being patient with me. It should fill you guys in on what I've been up to. http://bit.ly/X0mAdH

Anyways, other than one lonely stream for this week's livestreamed shenanigans, I've got a few fresh videos up on my YouTube channel for your perusal.

Have to scoot and handle some IRL stuff, so until next week, folks, keep being awesome. :3

That's good. As am I. I'm trying to work through all the small kinks and issue that I notice in my earlier episodes and try to improve on them. Such as mic levels. I think my mic is more sensitive than I think it is, so I'll be adjusting my recording setup.

Just figured out late last night how to make HD vids. IT was a lot of pain aggravation, but I managed to do it. So expect some new channels, awesome playthroughs, and more!!!! So I'm in it for the long run too, kinda.

So what games do you have other than Mincraft, Lioness?

Also, what brought you to this site? And what inspired you to do YouTube vids? I'm curious. :o

Good to see that I'm not alone in the 'improving' department :3 ... I look forward to the upcoming changes, guys.

Kryt and I had been discussing it over on my blogthing, but yeah, I do play games other than Minecraft. Can't afford to be a one-trick pony in this business. *smirk* ... as I said over on the blog, I'm only starting out with Minecraft because it's simple, accessible, and I like creative capabilities it offers (and if I can make decent or better videos with something as mundane as Minecraft, then it means I can tackle just about anything.) Once I'm a bit more settled in -- and when I've burned through my backlog of pre-recorded episodes -- I'll start adding some more games to my repertoire.

As for what to look forward to:
--I'm planning to revive an RP'd Pokemon playthrough I started and left hanging on my Livestream channel. Still going to need to iron out the details on that one, considering that I was also playing with a much more difficult ruleset.
--I'm looking into some Multiplayer shenanigans on some games, once I'm able to afford more than the two other multiplayer games I have access to (those being Portal 2 and Magicka)
--I might be showcasing or playing through browser-based flash games for filler content should the need arise (and some flash games are just downright jaw-dropping for what they are.)
--Once I'm able to afford it, I have a few ideas for 'the-game-that-should-not-be-named', but those are on the edge of the table and about to fall into the wastebin right now.
--And finally, romping through some old-school RPGs, like some Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, and maybe even Earthbound.

I was actually saving these ideas for another Thursday Thoughts, but hey, they're not set in stone, so they're open to discussion here. :3

As for how I got to CCGR...
I was actually a short-term member of a Christian Minecraft server before the server tanked due to hardware issues a month or so ago. People were rushing to find a new home on that server’s main forums, and a member of CCGR offered the 'homeless' minecrafters access to the server the members of CCGR sometimes play on (provided we follow the necessary whitelisting criteria.) I decided to look around the forums, liked what I saw, and I decided to pick up my tent and pitch it here. The rest is history. :D

And for how I wound up doing YouTube vids?
It's been something I've been meditating on for a year or so now. Planning, preparing, learning, seeing what I should expect, and how to work around what I knew would be my limitations... The old plan was thus: A YouTube channel was meant to be a supplement to the livestreams my old partner and I made together back when I started out on Twitch. Given how involved 'Tubing is now that I'm deep into it, I guess it's just as well that my Livestream channel is getting overwhelmed.

Now, I will admit (in equal parts shame and unashamedness) that there's a shallow part of me wants to gain the attention of some 'successful' 'Tubers I watch myself, but a wiser part of me knows that I'm doomed to fail if I keep that as my ultimate goal. Instead, I simply want to share the fun I'm having with more people than just me, because (for a long time now) I'm usually just playing alone (or carrying a friend on my back doing things I really don’t want to do)... and being alone when playing games that are meant (and designed!) to be shared is not fun. Having others share in the joy of gaming and knowing they're having fun with me (and not at my expense) is -- and should be --more than enough reason to keep churning out content.

TL;DR -- I’m on YouTube to make friends, and I think I’m off to a good start :3

And that's a wall of text.

I hope this answers your questions, guys. :3

Have fun, be safe, and keep being awesome.

I was wondering whether or not that, as a Christian, if it was all right of me to play video games. Then I found this site. That's how it was for me. As to how I got on YouTube, I learned some editing skills from my college classes and stuff. So I figured why not? Christians and non-Christaians alike can bear witness to the fact that I choose to do this to "break down the wall".

Of course, I'm open to getting judged and so forth........but who cares what they think, right?

Well, I found this website when I got back into WoW around 2011, and wanted to see a Christian perspective on that game. I was following every review and eventually signed up.

The reason why I started my Youtube account is because I've always wanted to entertain people in some way. Be it reviews, telling someone a story, or making a video about it. That's why most of my videos start with a subject, because I want people to be engaged and respond.

As for Let's Plays, I felt like it's a good way to start. Though I'm thinking about branching out and doing video reviews and other things, as well as vlogs and other neat stuff. I'm still thinking through it all, but I'm very excited about it.

Oh, and episode 7 is coming out soon. Just couldn't find a good time to start uploading.

It's encouraging to see how people started out. Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys. :3

Anyways, it's Thursday, again. You know what that means. Yep. Time for another Thursday Thoughts.

I might have to get around to updating the thread opener with the changes I've made to how I've shuffled around my current priorities and maybe link a couple playlists there for convenience... Eh. Maybe after this next recording session.
