I hadn't thought about games where you as the player ARE God. There are a few of those out there - Populous, Black & White, Babel Rising (that one looks fun!).
Do you think it might be blasphemous to play a game in which the player assumes the role of a supreme deity? Fun, yes, but would it be appropriate? Or disrespectful? Can you order your worshipers to marry prostitutes? I suppose it depends on the game....

The Sims is totally respectful. I mean, what's disrespectful about forcing a man to pee himself while another man dies of starvation in the basement?

Sounds like half the horror movies on Netflix...

I haven't known Netflix for having quite the movie I'm looking for. It's not allowed to have anything too mainstraeam or too obscure. Only that massive grey area may be obtained.

the general thing about that and every video games, movies, books out there is ... "there is no god" OR their "god" is in some kind of different form like a tree in pandora
so civilization is left with themselves, to handle their own. fate is left in their own hands, take for instance lord of the rings, spiderman.. and i'm pretty sure God doesn't like that, as He created the wuuurld

Not always. There are some stories and some games where the prescense of God felt particularly noticable.

There are a lot of games and anime series where they say God is not needed. OR less than that, but the same basic idea.
