I always bike down near that river. The downtown is a crap-hole though, and I live pretty close to it.

I can familiarize, though. When I lived in Kansas City, I had absolutely nothing to the west:

I drove though both KC and St. L...and I was pretty much groping my AR the entire time.

All I had with me on the streets was pepper spray. It wasn't adequate. @__@

It's perfect for dissipating hipster swarms, though.
