There was actually more stuff than I thought in that game, the ESRB only listed animated blood and animated violence. Anyone who has played it knows there's waaay more. That's why I'm happy about the mod.

I'll have to look up modding. It'd be nice to have an established community for mod-mods.

AH...I totally should've thought of that. XD So much win on your part.

Never trust the ESRB.

And I have played it. Multiple times. I was talking about dystopian M-rated games. With that in mind, the game is Ivory soap.

Yeah, I agree. I was just surprised to see the prostitutes...and beer...and cigarettes...and gore...and cursing...

True dat homie. I read the review beforehand and so knew what to expect. But if I hadna, I likely would've returned it.

Yeah, I bought it on the recommendation of non-Christian friend, and I hadn't found this site yet. So I only saw the two ESRB descriptors...

Snap. XD
I laugh because I've done exactly that same thing before and burned my eyes.

Reminds me of Halo Reach,
on the case ESRB said there was no language,
so I was like "Cool, they must have stopped adding bad language, I am going to enjoy this."
Then I got a checkpoint right before a guy shouts bad language.

I don't get why they leave out descriptors like that in games. Same with the MPAA in movies like Superbad. xD

Probably because they assume that, if you're willing to watch an R-rated/M-rated game, you know what to expect and are 'mature enough' to deal with it. 'Kids shouldn't be in there anyway' type thing.
Not entirely illogical; just stupid.

Well, it's time for my biennial bump to this thread. =P
Mainly because I just added a (very in-the-works) mod for Hearthstone (plus a few links to mods by other folks) and finally have a proper domain name, modestymods.com. =)
P.S. I also somehow never noticed that you put modestymods.com on the ccgr links page, so, belated thanks for that! ^_^

I'm going to install that Skyrim mod as soon as I can.
I was actually considering opening a thread where I could inlcude No Blood/Gore mods for some games. Here's my grand idea. In the next few days I'll see if I can start a blog/site thing filled with links for mods like this.
