Me and Spartan Omega got our copy of ME3 last night at the midnight release then took them back to his house where we jammed multiplayer (Which is also, SUPER FUN) most of the night but at one point we both wanted to play the Campaign.
Well he went to import his character from ME2 but there was no import file. Apparently the issue is rather big and I'm one of the few people with an answer.
(Because my import worked just fine)
Go back to ME2, load up that saved file you had of that final full on battle in the last mission (Tryin' to save as many ears as possible here even though it's been a few years) go through and beat it. Then after you've beaten it, go back to free roaming on the Normandy and then save there. For some reason there is no auto save after beating the last mission.
(If it's still broken, it's a different issue)
Hmm...I clicked, "Go back to main menu."
Works for me, though level 21.
I hear it also works when directly put the save file ME2 into ME3.
Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect 2 > Save
and put it into Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect 3 > Save,
I got the retail game because I had gift cards, so I paid $35.

That works too, but I was focused more on the console version. Where it's not possible that I know of to move saved files from one game to another.

So, how is the single player campaign?
Is it as epic as I would expect for the trilogy finale?
Still been avoiding to buy ME3, will see how long I can avoid it...

Oh, it does epic really well, so very. You know those scripted "epic" events in FPSes like COD that always end up feeling forced? Yeah, it doesn't feel forced in ME3, just epic.

I broke down and bought it.
Heck with it, I'll just pay the late fee on my car payment <_<.
I like it. I hate my options for squad members.

Looks like you get better stuff if you pay for it. -_- I've bought the spectre pack with credits like 4 times now, and I still haven't gotten a chracter from it. I got the M-77 Paladin, which is basically the best pistol, so that was nice.
We should play and record it.
