Ooh, nice.
What scope?

To be honest, the scope we ordered for it (the gun was my christmas/birthday present that I got for Christmas) was some kind of mid-range 4-10x 40mm scope (the brand name eludes me... Bushnell, maybe? I dunno) but they never shipped it because it was out of stock and on backorder beyond all recovery apparently
So... right now it's a cheap scope that came with my Marlin. There's literally no brand name on it XD
I'll get a decent one for my birthday, hopefully, depending on if they already picked it up or not (dad might be losing his job, so... "get son a decent scope for an infrequently-used rifle is down on the list

)
But... honestly? I got good groups with it... I've only taken it out a few times, but groups within an inch or so at 100 yards the first time I took it out wasn't bad. The .17 is just... such a cool bullet XD

Yeeeaahhh XD. It's fun entering rimfire competitions with people shooting .22's with a .17. Usually only happens once.
What loads did you use?
I've been a bit partial to the 20grn FMJs, since the wind's been a pain and they seem to be slightly better at bucking it than the poly-tips.

I think I only really sighted it in with the 17 grn generics you get at Wal Mart. I'll try out those FMJs though, the wind is certainly an issue where I live.

Have you considered drinking large amounts of soda and candy to ease your pain?
