Pretty much awesome. ^_^ Drove from here, to Memphis to pick up my cousin, then through Arkansas (stopping along the way at a rest stop where I met a guy who seriously reminded me of the Hitcher. O_O Long black trench coat, long beard, dark sunglasses and asked for a ride. XD I said "sorry" and he followed us around the rest stop until we left.) and stayed the night at Sallisaw, OK. Fun place. Pizza parlor smelled of sewage, but had calzones on the buffet. XD
The next day, we drove to OKC. I...love Oklahoma. I've never been before, but I want to go back. It was beautiful, and OKC is huge...HUGE. Biggest city I've been in. Miles and miles of buildings. And a Taco Bell. <3
We stayed at what is easily the nicest hotel I've been in (La Quinta), and went to the Cowboy and Western heritage museum. Which was mind blowing. They had a statue of a cougar 18 feet tall, carved from a single mountain.

We ate at a place called "Mimi's cafe" and for some reason, I ordered chicken parmigiana sammich with fresh fruit and water...Oklahoma water is nasty. Only thing I didn't like.
Third day we spent sitting around the hotel room while my grandfather went and sat at the hospital. Mercy hospital is really nice though, and serves the best philly cheese I've ever had. Ate the hotel breakfast, which was bossome. Had nearly any breakfast food you could ask for. Ate lunch at Sonic (their peach iced tea tastes like Splenda sweetened cotton candy) and supper at a A&W/Long John silver's. That was tough.
Friday was a redux of Thursday, except I got to see my great uncle at the hospital. And we had word that a freak snowstorm was coming up on Saturday. Oklahoma was going to get 1-12 inches. My GUncles surgery went great, but it was really late at night. I should mention that I'd been getting up at 5:30-6:00 all week, so "really late" was ten-thirty.

Also discovered that Mercy had a great cafeteria for supper. My Granddad also said that we may be stuck there until Tuesday because of the snow. I had underpants until Monday, so I was concerned. A lot.
Saturday, I woke up to several inches of snow covering the ground. This did not bode well, but I couldn't help but enjoy how pretty it was. We ate breakfast ( I was hoping for a road trip, so I didn't drink a lot.) then hit the hospital to see my uncle in recovery. He was doing good, so we told him bye and were going to eat then head back to the hotel. The snow was even deeper by then, and I had been asked to run out to the truck and grab some get well cards...that was one of the greatest experiences of the trip. This huge city, was nearly empty because of the storm. There were peep's at the hospital and such, but it was awesome. Snow blowing in my face and hair...Also, the snow was the best I've ever seen. fine white powder that's nearly dry.
Incidentally, I also got to see my Granddad hug his brother. That touched my heart for some reason. It was awesome.
We headed back to the room, and I resigned myself to staying for a day. Despite my gut screaming it was going to be otherwise. And so...I drank a large glass of water. 15 minutes later, my other great uncle showed up and said Jim (the other GUncle) had been released early, and they were going to head home. He'd talked to a guy who'd said the roads would be worse the next day. So my Grandfather decided we'd leave too. XD
So we grabbed some burgers at Mercy, then left. I didn't drink anything, but sipped a blueberry pomegranate tea I wished I'd known about a few days ago. It was a tricky trip...that water hit me about 60 miles short of our destination. XD But the more we traveled, the less snowy it got, and we spent the night at a Super 8 under a gentle rain. Ah, Super 8. A cheap, fleabag motel if I've ever stayed in one. Honestly, I've never done that before. And I highly enjoyed it. XD The mattress caved in the center.
At any rate, we ate at the Cracker Barrel in West Memphis, dropped my cousin by his house, then made it home safely. With a jar of Mayo and plenty of free goodies I'd nabbed from the hotel room, and the breakfast bar. XD I really enjoyed the trip, even though I thought I wouldn't. Even staying around the hotel wasn't bad, as it had cable.
