Despite my complaining, I adore it here. It's gorgeous all of the time and the culture is vibrant and young and lively. It's just a genuine challenge to wake up in the day and have a white, blank, lifeless sky staring back at you. And then have it happen again for the rest of the week. And then the next week. And then the next.
You could argue that it's worth it for the summer days, and that's true, but those are totally unreliable and some years almost nonexistent. It's amazing here, but just never make the mistake of assuming that you can take the weather in stride. Some can handle it better than others, but the gloominess gets to everyone eventually. And sometimes...
