Not that Florida is much to brag about. Just walk east or west until you hit beach XD.

Yeah...I think I could do a week. I mean...that short of a time period means I could probably not even have to look for food or water half the time.
Not to mention our area is generally lousy with water.
Fud I can live without...sooooo...light a fire and I'm good.

Good thing the closest thing to "Extreme Conditions" Texas has are intense summers. And you just need shade to survive that, of which there is plenty. (Unless you go to West Texas, but why even think about that?)

There's some people who add that you can only go three months without hope or love, as well. I call that bull.ChickenSoup wrote:"You can go 3 weeks without foot, and 3 days without water, but in extreme conditions you can only go 3 hours without shelter"

When you're up against humans, certainly. Humans die, they stop, they get tired, hungry, and homesick. If nothing else, one can hope they fail.Pheonix wrote:

Nature on the other hand, is indomitable, at least on the level of an individual. Hoping to be rescued makes one lose focus on the reality in front of them. There is nothing to hope for. At least, that's how I'd put it. I will concede that there's a certain level personal strength of will comes into play, but in this case I separate that from hope entirely.

Then there's God, who happens to always be nearby and ready to help.
And thus I have hope of beating even nature itself.

Hope and the will to survive are very closely related, IMO.
Which is why I'm always optimistic when I get food poisoning.
