It's a late 18th century Gothic novel.
Basically, a monk is seduced by a woman disguised as another monk, and then he forces himself on and kills this other woman, finds out the first one was a succubus and the second was his sister, and then he sells his soul to the devil.
Fun stuff, eh?

Yeah...
Things were weird back then.
Well...not really. Things are worse now.
Why is it I found The Tomb of Ligeia disappointing?

Things were/are always weird.

There's always "that" guy.
I dunno...perhaps because the name didn't really tell you what the movie was about at all?

Hmm...no.
I think it was the shift in focus. The original story was more about the side effects of the death of a loved one, and the power of the will. tbqh, it's one of two romances I not only like, but loved, the other being Tolkien's Lay of Leithan, which had dismemberment and other such.
The movie...was about that guys insanity. And that's pretty much it.
You'd have to read to story to get it I suppose.
The Last Man on Earth?

Perhaps. I've not read the story and saw the movie years ago.
Also...no. I'm not big on apocalypse films. Which I consider that to be. It's not in the strictest sense, but close enough.
Never saw the remake with Willy Smith either.

The remake didn't do the book justice I hear.

I just curse people in my own language. Or hiss at them. That tends to freak them out.
Wait...how do you do that?

I've got a parental lock on my fingers. -_- Only G-rated words.
I can't even type FiART without it blocking it.
I heart wildflowers. So unless your referring to a band, or one of those movies that are based in the south and display some hardship for some girl, I love them.

How would one use wild roses as a weapon?
Also, Theater of Tragedy was pretty. And awesome.

Yeah....
Writing in formal English is kinda odd for a metal band though.
Catch the sample from The Masque of the Red Death?
