Owls are actually pretty cool birds. I really like their "stealth mode" they have going on (their feathers are specifically designed not to make any noise when they flap their wings).
I'm not so fond of the ones that eat our cats, though... but that was at one of our old places. We don't have that problem where we live now.
We had three armadillo's sort of swarm our campsite this past week. Which isn't odd, except we were awake and sitting there around the firepit with a rather large dog. And they remained unafraid. Someone must've been feeding them.

Must have. Or they were looking for food that campers may have left behind. That's too bad, really. Animals really need to rely more on their own instincts, rather than growing reliant on eating leftover Funyuns and chewing gum.

I haven't done that, but I've come close to running over them with the lawnmower. In either case, whenever I spot a snake, I try to call the kids over so we can look at it. Sometimes catch it. A couple months ago, one of my daughters caught a garter snake and brought it into the house to show people. Did I mention that my wife hates snakes? My kids forgot about that. I admired the snake before we let it go in the garden, though.

I'll have to look up the trailer later. Deadpool is an interesting, insane character.

I've heard good things about the franchise, but have never played them. Do you recommend the games? Do you have a favorite?
I've only played a DS remake of Final Fantasy III. Maybe it's just because I've never played the first two, but I haven't really been able to get into it no matter how hard I've tried. I've heard that Final Fantasy VII, X and XII are all good, but I haven't played them yet so I can't say for myself. I like to play games chronologically so that I understand the story, but I don't know if I'll be able to do that with Final Fantasy due to the sheer number of games (if I'm not mistaken they've already started working on FFXV). However, I like the magic system because it's different than most JRPGs.
In the end I can't recommend FFIII, but I don't think it's a bad game. I just haven't gotten into it.

I didn't know the games were supposed to be a continuous storyline. I thought each one had its own plots, just set in the same world. But having never played them, I easily could be wrong!

The Wii had some really great games, especially the Metroid Prime Trilogy. So did the GameBoy. But I have the most nostalgia for the games on my Super Nintendo. So I'll have to give that console the nod.
FFIII is overly complex due to lack of explanation of the job system. After 20 hours on my first attempt, I had to use a guide, and with the guide explaining the jobs, I enjoyed the game. It's not the best of the series, though, either in gameplay or story wise. It's basically the same story as the first two, with very little changed. I can vouch for IX being excellent, if odd, and IV as well. Same with VII, though I've only played the first disc.
Oddly, I haven't given five or six a shot yet, though that's when the series is supposed to really take off. I need to dig up some copies. But each game is self contained, I believe, only loosely set in the same world (moogles, magics, chocobo's. ETC).
That said, who doesn't like redemption and paladins?

Redemptions is great! Isn't that one of the main things about Christianity?
As for paladins, the only people who wouldn't like them are those who don't like Lawful Good characters. I think they're interesting, although I can't recall the last time I've played one in D&D. I have done one for a short time in World of Warcraft, but their lack of ranged weaponry in that game grew bothersome for me.
