Morrowind, in my thinking, is only dated in graphics. As far as the actual game goes, it's still good. Plus, it has levitation spells. XD

I've heard that the combat is awful, though.

It's actually about the same as Oblivion, except the attack type (Chop, slice jab) is determined by movement direction, unlike Oblivion. Though there is a setting to change that.....kinda. You can make it use the most effective attack.
