Dead men may tell no tales, but their remains may tell a freakin novel.

Go eat decaying fish. That quote is originally from Metal Slug.

Never mind, I'll feed you decaying fish, soaked in salt and ammonia, then rinsed and boiled.

Love number two, disagree with number one. Without dreams and dreamers, our society would be nothing. If little Tommy had never wanted to bottle light, would we have light bulbs? If young Ben had never been bothered by the British scourge, would we have a government (which did function correctly, at one time.)?

If tiny little Willy had never dreamed of combining chocolate and marshmallows, would we have Willy Wonka's fudge mallow delight?

Problem is, society is full of dreamers, but not doers. If everyone dreams, but does nothing, that makes people feel like they have to do ridiculous amounts of work to keep up.

“Be he foe or friend, be he foul or clean
Brood of Morgoth or bright Vala,
Elda or Maia or Aftercomer,
Man yet unborn upon Middle-earth,
Neither law, nor love, nor league of swords,
Dread nor danger, not Doom itself
Shall defend him from Fëanáro, and Fëanáro’s kin,
Whoso hideth or hoardeth, or in hand taketh,
Finding keepeth or afar casteth
A Silmaril. This swear we all…
Death we will deal him ere Day’s ending,
Woe unto world’s end! Our word hear thou,
Eru Allfather! To the everlasting
Darkness doom us if our deed faileth…
On the holy mountain hear in witness
and our vow remember,
Manwë and Varda!"

Now what I want to know is how anyone could come up with soooooo much original material for a series. Tolkien is a genius. I mean the only fantasy series that even comes close to the scale of LOTR is The Wheel of Time...and the author took too long and died before it was finished.
