Yeah a hobby drill is prettymuch an absolute requirement for pinning metal. The procedure is the same as with plastic, but with a hobby drill you get much better control, and if you use the right bit size, you can just use regular medium paperclips as the pin itself (which also means you'll need a pair of side cutters if you don't have it already.)
I like the Games Workshop one the best, but I've also used one by Privateer Press that seems to be the same as the Army Painter one and it's reasonably good too.

Heh yeah that's true. Got Portal during the sale and I thought I beat it yesterday until I found out I hadn't beat it yet... Still working on it.

First Edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons will always hold a special place in my heart because that's where I started. However, Second edition is a bit more playable and simpler, so when I run a game, I use Second Edition.

What's the smallest size brush you use, if you don't mind my asking?

I must be doing something wrong then. I'm using a 18/0, and still having trouble getting good results.

Here's a site you might find helpful. It talks about brushes, taking care of them, the best kinds, etc.
I don't eat hard candy so that's not an issue for me... But I totally would break my teeth if I did...

I 'spose I need to get a sable brush eventually. That may be one of my problems. I'm using medium quality synthetics. I just don't want to become elitist. XD

Gas powered stick?
Ohhhh ok.. never heard of that one.
So... I'm afraid to ask... what's a gas powered stick?

The movie or the short story? (In both cases, the answer is yes!)
It's not elitist to want to use the good stuff... It helps you improve your own skills too because you don't have to fight the brush. Then, you can concentrate on your technique.
And yes, yes they do.

Has a bit of language, but this is the Bravest Warriors episode with the gas powered stick.
