Yeah, same here, but I did find a nice spike once, called the Torpedo, about 2lbs.

Depends on the strength of the thrower I assume, I'd say 15-20 yards on average.

Nice idea, but the bow would be a pain to conceal.

I once saw a 'dart catapult' that consisted of two pulleys on each end of a V shaped arm, that some how propelled a projectile. That would be better IMO.

That seems like it would take to long to set up, though. But I'm probably misunderstanding your explanation...

Actually, hiding a short crossbow wouldn't be that hard, I don't think. Except for the bow part. You could even make it from carbon fiber plastic, so metal detectors wouldn't pick it up.

Hmm...Folding bow?

Speaking of which, in Dynasty Warriors 6 on the PS2, one character uses a folding repeating bow/short sword mounted on her arm.

Why just a little? I haven't read much of his stuff (or any of it) but "A Christmas Carol" is one of my favorite holiday tales.
