I can't say I've had Chinese chicken salad, but my sis-in-law is full blooded Vietnamese, and she has brought all sorts of great new Vietnamese recipes with her to the states

What is it like?
Chinese chicken salad, the version I make anyway, is made with grilled chicken and a peanut dressing.
Not really sure how it's Chinese, come to think of it. But that is what it is called. XD

She would make the salad with shredded papaya, which was surprisingly REALLY GOOD.
I'm not sure how she did the chicken, but I know there was a lot of lime juice involved

Never played it. Just looked it up, and the elf-looking characters look a bit strange...

Well, it's definitely a platformer. I really enjoy them though. Classic games.

OH. MY. GOSH. You have no idea how many games I've gotten to the final level, and then spend WEEKS trying to beat that final boss. >__< Some of them just seem impossible O_O
It really is quite awful spending so much time just getting to the last level, and then giving up without finishing the game. :'(

Really? You found that boss difficult? I thought it was fairly easy - it only took me two or three tries before I remembered that the screw attack made Samus essentially invincible. After that, it was a pretty easy, albeit long, battle.Chozon1 wrote:True dat. True day. *Looks over shoulder at Metroid II*
It wasn't until many years later that I learned one of the other secrets about that battle - once you had her paralyzed, you could roll down her throat and plant bombs in her belly. I've never defeated her that way.
But since Chozon already asked about the worst boss... do you have a boss that you said was the best? I mean a boss fight where you deliberately reset your machine before saving just so you could do it all over again?

Yes, well. I was playing it on the SNES, so it was clearly a few times harder. Maybe a dozen. >_>

That was a GameBoy game. Were you using a Virtual GameBoy? I had one of those, too - those were so cool.Chozon1 wrote:Yes, well. I was playing it on the SNES, so it was clearly a few times harder. Maybe a dozen. >_>

Yeah. The Super Gameboy. I still have mine. I didn't really appreciate what an amazing thing it was back then.
Didn't know it was worth so much either. O_o

Yeah, the Super GameBoy. I was surprised to see how much those were going for as well - at least at the time I was cleaning out the house. When I sold all my SNES stuff, there were a few items I kept out of the collection to sell individually, and that was one of them. Looking on ebay now, they aren't nearly as expensive now - I suspect having more GameBoy games as part of their on-line distribution service may play a factor in that.Chozon1 wrote:Yeah. But enough with hijacking Oregorn's thread....
