New Torchlight: Infinite Season Begins Next Week, Adding Seasonal Gameplay, Permanent Mechanics, and More

Scent Weaver Sage, Renewed Memories, and Modularization feature in SS12 Lunaria

Shanghai, China — April 10, 2026 | XD Games is excited to reveal details on the upcoming Torchlight: Infinite season – SS12 Lunaria – beginning on 16 April worldwide on PC and mobile, in the run up to Torchlight: Infinite’s third anniversary.

Watch the Torchlight: Infinite Season Preview below:

The new seasonal mechanic, Lunaria, is among the biggest additions to Torchlight: Infinite, bringing a new farming loop to the game. Lunar Stone Statues have appeared all across Netherrealm, ready to be woken up by Lunar Ring-wielding players looking to take on Lunari creatures. Once defeated, these creatures drop loot and energy that can be used to awaken other Lunar Stone Statues.

Randomly triggered Lunar Omens and Rhapsodies can also greatly affect these encounters. For example, Lunar Radiance sees a golden statue pop up on the map that, when awoken, brings forth a monster that drops substantially greater loot when defeated; Moonlit Revival transforms all Lunari creatures back into statues; and the Lunar Harp no longer consumes energy if the Moonrise rhapsody is activated. Torchlight: Infinite players can learn more about the specifics of the Lunaria mechanic – and everything within SS12 – in the Torchlight: Infinite Season Preview livestream, which aired today.

A permanent addition to Torchlight: Infinite — making its debut at this new season’s launch — is the Creation Engine. Found dotted around the map, Creation Engines are machines guarded by Creation Sentries, which players can defeat for big rewards. Once all enemies have been dealt with, nearby Creation Crystals will transform into top quality loot, like the Path of the Brave-exclusive Fluorescent Memory, the legendary chest armour Silent Avowal, or mystery elixir skill Fluorescent Memory.

Loot from Creation Engines can also be manipulated via Netherrealm Talents, should players invest. While modest investment turns Creation Engines into buff dispensers, greater investment offers two options: Whimsical Creation Crystal, which increases the loot pool by matching two identical crystals; alternatively, these machines can produce Gold Creation Crystals that chain-activate every crystal within the Creation Engine.

The newest hero joining Torchlight: Infinite is Scent Weaver Sage. She is an elixir-based healer, uniquely adjusting her recipes mid-fight. For instance, she can add rare defensive stats, like Injury Buffer or Convert Physical Damage to Random Elemental Damage, to her elixirs — two affixes that don’t often appear on gear. Players can even set up their Sage so that critical strikes, reaping, and movement will automatically generate elixir charges.

Additionally, there are two paths players can specialise Sage in. Firstly, there is the Scholar route, which maxes life and mana, converting base stats in amplified elixir effects. The second option is the Mad Scientist route, which allows players to carry an extra offensive flask.

As part of Sage’s introduction, the potion system is being overhauled, becoming its own skill type: Elixir Skills. Unlike standard skills that incorporate mana and cooldown, Elixir Skills run on charge points. There are now three categories of elixir: Tonics for life and mana, Dews for single-stat boosts, and Distillates that contain complex composite effects.

In Lunaria, players will be able to get to grips with a new progression system called Renewed Memories, which makes big changes to traits. Building upon the established Hero Memories system, Renewed Memories introduces Revival – a new crafting method that unlocks a power within those memories. These powers include Wax and Wave, which increases base value affixes; Rising Moon, which elevates the fixed affix tier; Lunar Ring, which expands the Memory with a set of powerful random affixes; and Young Moon, which adds an extra powerful hero trait affix on Ultimate Memories.

Another addition to Torchlight: Infinite is Modularization. This new summon system allows players to generate a copy of a recently defeated boss, turning them from foe to friend on the battlefield for a limited time. While not a direct copy of any given monster, modularized replicas take on a crucial portion of a defeated enemy’s abilities. Twenty boss monsters are available for Modularization at the beginning of SS12 Lunaria, with more scheduled for future seasons.

To celebrate Torchlight: Infinite’s third anniversary, a limited-time anniversary event kicks off on 16 April — the Midas Touch. Players can complete objectives to earn draws, and spin for rewards such as Pactspirit Crystals, Jagged Primocrysts, and a chance at this year's anniversary commemorative gold note, designed by the Torchlight team.

For a full breakdown of everything new to Torchlight: Infinite during Lunaria, new legendary gear, gameplay optimisations, grafting adjustments and more, watch the SS12 Season Preview or check out the full patch notes on the official website.

Torchlight: Infinite is available now on PC, iOS, and Android.
