Bounce Castle Makes Formal Steam Debut, Offers Limited-Time Graveyard Playtest

Robot Monkey Brain invites players to sling, bounce, and battle through the game’s haunted Graveyard Region in a special Halloween-themed playtest

Norwalk, Connecticut (Oct. 29, 2025) — Indie game developer Robot Monkey Brain today announced that Bounce Castle, the studio’s flagship strategy RPG, is offering players a limited-time treat in celebration of the Halloween season. From October 29 through November 20, courageous combatants can sling their way through the game’s Graveyard Region via Steam Playtest, a feature built directly into the gaming platform. This seasonal slice introduces players to the game’s tactical, physics-driven combat and an early taste of the chaos, strategy, and charm ahead of its full release on Steam for PC in 2026.

In the Graveyard Playtest, players will face off against terrifyingly tough Necromancers, Ghosts, and Skeletons, each with their own unique abilities, which will require some strategic foresight and counterplay from the player should they wish to survive this graveyard grudge match. The Graveyard also features several interactive props to enhance the game's physics-driven combat and adds a fun layer of tactical unpredictability to each playtest session. Players can bounce characters off massive mushrooms, bat enemies away like annoying flies using pinball-style Graveyard Gate Flippers, and send nasty ghouls tumbling back into their freshly reopened graves. Full controller support is also included, allowing players to contribute to the playtest from the comfort of their couch or while on the go with their Steam Deck.

Bounce Castle is a physics-based strategy RPG where precision, planning, and chaos collide! Players carefully aim and sling their team of heroes across hazard-filled arenas, using a wide range of skills and abilities to outsmart and outclass enemies in an effort to protect precious Flow Crystals, which serve as the vital resources. Each of the game’s several unique Regions presents players with a gauntlet of traps, puzzles, and tactical decisions, culminating in a colossal boss battle that will truly test their skills. Along the way, players can collect precious gold coins, which can be redeemed by paying a visit to the traveling merchant, where they can upgrade their heroes’ unique abilities between runs. But tread carefully! With resources running thin and danger around every corner, every sling and ricochet comes with risk. Players will face gruesome goblins, slippery slimes, and skeletal scoundrels… not to mention tons of traps and curveballs that would absolutely love to ruin a good run. Each Region is a slingshot into the unknown, and every decision brings players one bounce closer to the final showdown in Bounce Castle’s forsaken Throne Room!

● Dozens of Abilities: Discover a multitude of abilities, each offering its own way of causing havoc for the enemy. Blow things up with abilities like the chaos-inducing Gust or clean up with accurate moves like Piercing Arrow.

● Defend the Flow Crystals: Keep the Flow Crystals safe from harm, at all costs, or lose access to your primary resource, Flow. Lose all your Flow, and it’s game over, pal. Game over!

● Physics Meets Strategy: Lucky for your heroes, enemies display their attack intentions, meaning you have the chance to counter their attacks. Eliminating enemies may be ideal, but limited energy means more clever strategies will often be required!

● Tactics Without the Grid: Bounce Castle uses physics, a tactical game with no grid and no hexagons. Ricochet around obstacles or boop enemies into pits. It’s like if you combined pinball, pool and mini-golf and threw in swords and fireballs.
