Crude Oil - demo playable as part of Tokyo Game Show Steam event
Discover the world as a puddle of petroleum on the run! Crude Oil is the brain child of solo developer Peter Nichols, aka elf’s end interactive. It’s a fairly short adventure that’s atmospheric and a little bit funny.
If you’ve been dreaming of escaping the clutches of the oil industry as a sentient blob of oil, this is the game for you!
About the game:
Splat off the walls, bowl thru stacks of barrels, and skate across puddles as an elastic blob with Mario-like moves. You’ll grow, shrink, try on hats, drive a forklift and uncover a conspiracy in probably the most realistic glob simulator ever made.
Featuring:
Blobby platforming
Puzzle solving
Physical altercations with robots
Time slowing
Collecting oil droplets to grow and losing them to shrink
Power-up hats
Forklift driving
Conspiracy unravelling
OST by Body Meat!
About the Developer:
Peter Nichols is a solo developer based in Los Angeles. Prior to creating Crude Oil, they developed 3 other games called Crude Oil, while living off-grid in the middle of the Mojave Desert. They are a current member of the New Museum's art & technology incubator NEW INC.
