After a successful showing at gamescom 2025, the team at Owlcat has continued working tirelessly to bring the highly-anticipated next installment of the Warhammer 40,000 universe to life. The hands-off demo put players in a five-person party investigating a series of disappearances on Scintilla, a planet in the Calixis Sector where the corrupting power of Chaos has already taken hold. Showcased in the recent dev diary, Dark Heresy depicts the dark, hopeless, gothic face of the Imperium, seen through the lens of the Inquisition.

Set against the backdrop of the Noctis Aeterna and the mystery of the Tyrant Star, players will lead a warband of diverse companions in a desperate battle against heresy and corruption, from loyal Imperial subjects, such as a veteran Guardsman from the death world of Catachan, to nefarious xenos, including a bird-like Kroot mercenary.
