About Akos Makovics:
Islands & Trains is the creation of indie devs Akos and Fabi, who are based in Hungary and Germany. After meeting on some Unity forums in 2008, the two friends decided in 2021 to create their first game as a duo. Outside their passion for digital choo-choos, Akos works as a software engineer, sending payloads to the moon while Fabi, a kindergarten teacher of 15 years, dreams of opening their own kindergarten one day. In their spare time however, they work on Islands & Trains, their cozy island builder inspired by games such as Islanders, Dorfromantik and Townscaper and scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2025.
