Players can wishlist the game on Steam and play the new demo now.

Apogee Highlights Speedrunner Mechanics in Crystalline Metroidvania LUCID

Apogee debuted a speedrunner-centric gameplay video for its upcoming 2D action-platformer RPG LUCID from solo developer Eric Manahan of The Matte Black Studio. The video showcases the game’s fast-paced, acrobatic gameplay and tight controls, which makes LUCID the perfect speedrunning playground! Players can expect an incredible sense of speed without sacrificing maneuverability — to navigate environments, collect resources, and unlock pathways while barely setting foot on the ground. This fluidity carries to LUCID’s combat, with the trailer showcasing a masterful takedown of an early game boss, the Sentinel Bludgeon.

Players can wishlist the game on Steam now before it’s released for Windows PC in 2026.

Below the Stone Apogee Entertainment Launches its ‘Kingdom 'o Quests’ Update for Hardcore Extraction Roguelike

Apogee and solo developer Strollart have officially launched the “Kingdom 'o Quests” update for the extraction roguelike, Below the Stone. Featuring new quests, characters, weapons, locations, and more, Below the Stone’s latest update is centered around fleshing out its Kingdom NPCs and their various duties as loyal townsfolk, and plunging deeper into the depths.

Below the Stone is a punishing extraction roguelike in which dwarves go on missions and quests through the deepest depths in search of rare treasures. Each descent leads to a new adventure, and only the most determined dwarves with many lost lives will be rewarded by the hidden world lying below the stone.

Below the Stone is available now on Windows PC via Steam in Early Access for $19.99; the “Kingdom 'o Quests” update is free to existing owners. Play the game or try the demo on Steam today.
