Enjoy Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond Both by Yourself and with Friends!
Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond will showcase each leader in their own respective stories, beginning with Dreizehn. Additional features have been added to refine player experience, including a log feature where you can review your favorite scenes and a resume feature to pick up right where you left off.
Solo Mode
Other than the Story, solo players can also enjoy practice matches and the battle tutorial.
Practice Matches
Play practice matches to face off against computer opponents of various difficulties and sharpen your skills.
Experienced players can now also play against decks they've built to test out their viability and make adjustments, while those less experienced can learn how to battle with the help of the new AI Tips feature.
Battle Tutorial
Learn the basics of battling and terminology from Eudie, the in-game guide, in the newly implemented battle tutorial. Designed to quickly familiarize new players with the game, the battle tutorial also offers lessons on how to play the basic archetypes for each class featured in the first card set.
Earn rupies for each lesson you clear. Lessons can be replayed after being cleared, so review specific lessons whenever you'd like to reinforce your knowledge.
Unranked Matches
Unranked matches are casual matches with random matchmaking that will not affect your rank or group. Set your skill level to Beginner or Expert to match with opponents of the same skill level.
Private Matches
Private matches issue match IDs, which you can share with specific opponents in order to battle them. Players can also spectate using the same match ID. In Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, the host of a private match can also allow spectators to view matches with both players’ hands revealed, even if that user is not on their friends list.
Like unranked matches, private matches do not affect ranks or groups.
Ranked Matches
Matchmaking for ranked matches is affected by ranks and groups.
Ranks
Similar to the original Shadowverse, ranks are determined based on RP, or rank points. Players progress from Beginner to Master, with higher ranks like Grand Master planned for future updates.
For players ranked Beginner to AA, RP is earned based on match outcomes and other conditions. Master players will compete using MP, or master points, a separate point system.
RP can be earned not only from winning but also through other conditions, such as damage dealt to the enemy leader. These performance-based points are earned regardless of the match outcome. Also, defeats in Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond do not deduct RP, so players will not have to worry about losing progress. However, players who frequently disconnect mid-match may face RP penalties for subsequent matches.
Groups
Groups are a new feature in Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, determined by your recent win rate and will fluctuate over time. Players will start in Emerald, progressing to Topaz, Ruby, Sapphire, then Diamond as their win rates improve. However, these groups will partially reset with each season.
Your group modifies the RP you receive from winning. The higher your group, the bigger your bonus. Matchmaking will prioritize pairing players from the same rank and group, ensuring you face opponents of similar skill.
Shadowverse Park
Shadowverse Park is divided up into 3 main areas: the lobby, guild lounge, and room.
The lobby is an area where players can gather, socialize, and battle each other at various battle tables.
The guild lounge is an exclusive community space for members of a guild, where they can meet, chat, and challenge each other to sharpen their skills. A guild can have up to 30 members.
Your room is a private space to which you can invite other users to hang out or play matches. You can personalize your room with decor and posters featuring your favorite cards. You'll also be able to display posters featuring your leaders from Shadowverse if you link your original account to Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond.
Your room and guild lounge gives you access to training mode. In this mode you can adjust settings like turn time limits or enable open-hand play, allowing players to see each other’s cards. You can even tap on your opponent’s cards to send advice or feedback, making this feature excellent for coaching, discussing strategies, or improving together.
Apart from battling, you can also use your customizable avatar in the lobby to communicate with players worldwide through chat messages, gestures, and stickers.
Preset phrases and greetings will automatically display in your chosen language, making it easier to connect with players globally.
Apart from using the lobby-wide Free Chat, you can also form private groups to chat with friends or guild members. In addition, Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond features an in-game voice chat, allowing you to talk in real-time while playing.
You can also invite your friends to your current location or warp directly to theirs through the Messages feature, making meetups easier to coordinate. Furthermore, you can share your decks and battle replays seamlessly by sending them through Messages.
