Deviant Card-Based RPG ‘Sultan’s Game’ Teases New Content and Goes Behind-the-Scenes in New Trailer

Sultan’s Game, the twisted narrative-driven card-based RPG that sold 600,000 copies in its first month from developer Double Cross Studio and publisher 2P Games, exercises questionable morals in a trailer teasing new content and a behind-the-scenes look at development, as shown during the Shacknews E4 2025 Indie Showcase.

Succumb to the Sultan’s new desires with 10 upcoming community-designed pieces of equipment, with each one including a story crafted by the developer and players together. A new character shaped by 18 rounds of votes from thousands of players, will also emerge from seedy alleyways and into the Sultan’s Palace.

Do the Sultan’s dirty work as his courtier by indulging in a cruel game of wits, betrayal, and survival. Complete one of four challenges each week — Carnality, Extravagance, Conquer, and Bloodshed — or face execution. Travel across the land to sate his dark whims by persuading citizens, swaying the royal court, making questionable sacrifices, and rising as a master manipulator.

Steam Workshop support opens the floodgates of temptations even further with Mod support. Available now, Sultan’s Royal Subjects worldwide can craft entirely new experiences that expand upon and even divert from the Sultan’s original game.

Sultan’s Game is available now on PC via Steam for $24.99 USD, with language support for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
