NG25 Spring: A Celebration of Innovation, Creativity and Togetherness

Malmö, Sweden, May 27, 2025 – Thousands of game developers from the Nordic region and beyond gathered in Malmö, Sweden, for the annual Nordic Game conference, held from 20-23 May at the historic Slagthuset venue in the heart of the city.

As with previous Nordic Game conferences, NG25 Spring proved to be a resounding success, serving as a beacon for the global games industry, where innovation, creativity, and togetherness are celebrated.

A total of 182 speakers shared their expertise across five stages during the conference week, delivering numerous highlights. From local game development stars like Josef Fares (Split Fiction) to renowned global legends such as Peter Molyneux (Black & White, Fable series), the speaker program covered many of the industry’s most relevant and current topics.

The event’s main stage sessions were streamed live on platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and Steam, attracting over 100,000 unique viewers. Combined with re-streams and social media posts, NG25 Spring reached nearly one million people this year, fueling great optimism for the conference’s future.

“The entire NG25 team is exhausted but elated after producing and executing the event,” said Program Director Jacob Riis. “We’re deeply grateful to every speaker, partner, sponsor, and attendee who brought their knowledge and enthusiasm to the show. It proved once again how vital togetherness is for our industry, especially during challenging times.”

NG25 Spring also featured the Nordic Game Awards 2025, celebrating outstanding achievements in game development. This year’s winners were:

Nordic Game of the Year: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by MachineGames (Sweden)
Best Art: Miniatures by Other Tales Interactive (Denmark)
Best Audio: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by MachineGames (Sweden)
Nordic Game of the Year – Small Screen: The Holy Gosh Darn by Perfectly Paranormal (Norway)

With the success of NG25 Spring, Nordic Game remains a cornerstone of the Nordic games industry, one of the world’s most vibrant game development communities. Despite ongoing challenges in the industry, several sponsors and partners have already committed to returning for Nordic Game 2026.

The organizers extend heartfelt thanks to all the incredible speakers, sponsors, partners, and volunteers for their invaluable support—you are all part of the Nordic Game family. Preparations for next year’s event have already begun!
