“Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost” Launches on PS4, Multiple Song Packs Coming This Year

TOKYO – April 16, 2025 – Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost, the rhythm bullet hell in the Touhou universe developed by UnknownX and published by Alliance Arts, launches on PlayStation 4 today alongside the announcement of four upcoming song pack DLCs arriving throughout 2025.

Tap to battle on beat with new Touhou tunes in four DLC track packs arriving this upcoming June, August, October, and December. Enjoy an original track in each song pack alongside nine added musical inclusions, including fan-favorites such as “Sake Monster☆RaiRai!!” by Shinra-Bansho and “Absolute Queen” by Laur, and many more.

As Reimu Hakurei, join forces with other Touhou heroines to solve the mystery of Gensokyo’s sudden destruction. Cast iconic spells during intense rhythm-based battles, and piece together memory fragments to discover the source of evil behind Gensokyo’s turmoil.

In classic rhythm game fashion, hit falling notes and aim for perfect precision in Kagura mode, racking up consecutive combos to earn a high score. Or, mix up the beat-based action with action-packed bullet hell combat — dodge enemy fire that rhythmically pulses in every direction to match melodies in Danmaku mode. Customize gameplay elements including note designs, note speed, and screen arrangement.

“We are beyond grateful for the long-term support we’ve received from the Touhou community, and it's a great feeling to return the favor with many months of new content on the horizon,” said JYUNYA, leader of Unknown X. “It’s a pleasure to bring Phantasia Lost to a brand-new audience on the PlayStation platform. We would like to thank the many artists, our team members, ZUN, Touhou fans, and everyone who continues to breathe life into this beloved series.”

Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost is now available on PlayStation 4 (with backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5), PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch with language options in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Touhou Danmaku Kagura Phantasia Lost is an officially approved derivative work.
