MomoCon 2025 Welcomes Legendary Game Developers Goichi “Suda51” Suda and Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro

MomoCon, the largest celebration of anime and gaming in the Southeast United States, kicks off its 20th anniversary event at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on Thursday, May 22, through Sunday, May 25, 2025, giving fans the chance to meet and hear from acclaimed game directors Goichi “Suda51” Suda, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, and famed musician DMC.

Suda51 is the founder of Grasshopper Manufacture, where he directed indie hits like The Silver Case, killer7, and the No More Heroes series. At MomoCon, he will sit down with journalist Jonathan Holmes for an intimate chat about his esteemed career, his achievements, and a trip down memory lane.

Swery is perhaps best known for his Twin Peaks-inspired mystery game Deadly Premonition, but his directorial credits also include cult favorites like Spy Fiction and D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die. At MomoCon, fans can expect to hear news about the highly anticipated Hotel Barcelona, a title inspired by an idea from his dear friend and colleague Suda51, as well as undisclosed updates on the future of Death Game Hotel.

Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, a founding member of Run-DMC, has been an undeniable influence over pop culture for the past three decades. From being the first rap group to grace the cover of Rolling Stone and to appear on MTV, to winning an Emmy Award for the DMC: My Adoption Journey documentary, this Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee still puts out new records, jumps on stages, and inspires young artists to this day.

Attendees can purchase a Multi-Day 4-Day pass for $95, Thursday or Sunday Only passes for $50, a Friday Only pass for $55, and a Saturday Only pass for $65 via MomoCon's official website.

For more information on the event, check out the official MomoCon site and follow MomoCon on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Discord, Threads, Bluesky, and Instagram for updates.
