Pre-ordered! I have Baby Cayde (as I call him)!
I am now going to build a tiny shelf for his amazing shelf and place it directly above my desk. His chibi self is glorious. <3
Behold, the body of Adonis and the brain of a squirrel.

Cyade's Loot Quest number 3000... He has so much stuff I wouldn't even know what to do.
I'll probably get the $100 version, I get 3 dlc's + the 2 expansions... and a steelbook case.
Have you used the Hard Light since the crucible update?

I also am looking at getting the $100 version, but I'll probably get it for PC because my friends want to play it on that.
Or I could get it on PS4, then get the PC version on deep sale when those friends are gonna get it anyway. XD
When Amazon still hasn't shipped an item that is supposed to arrive by tomorrow?

That's what I went with. The expansion pass is worth it by itself, really.micah211 wrote: Cyade's Loot Quest number 3000... He has so much stuff I wouldn't even know what to do.

I haven't played Destiny since my PS+ demo ran out a month or so ago. -_- It's sad times, but the game really is knee-capped without multiplayer access. That's why I'm adding $50 to the purchase price of Destiny 2. XD
PS4 has exclusive content, at least until 2018. But if they continue the D1 trend, each release will have more PS4 exclusive content.Deepfreeze32 wrote: I also am looking at getting the $100 version, but I'll probably get it for PC because my friends want to play it on that.

Not that I'm hinting, or have ulterior motives. >_>
I would council to have faith in the mighty Amazon, but they have failed me a ridiculously large amount of times. I mean really, it get's to the point I wonder why we are paying for Prime shipping.

Might be location. I've never had a problem with Amazon shipping.Chozon1 wrote:Two-day usually means 'Two days and whenever'.
I was super confused on which version of D2 to buy as well. I want the PS4 exclusives but I also want to play max settings. My friends are on every platform. But since I have learned that there's VIP bonuses for playing the full story I'm getting PS4.
Cross-play for D2?

Yeah, I'm thinking I might pre-order that $100 version for PS4, then wait for a cheap sale on the collection or whatever to play with friends on PC. XD
Amazon did finally ship my order, and it looks like it will arrive by end of the day today...but that did nothing for my heart. lol
When a game you were really excited for turns out to be bad?

Hey, 2-day shipping is 2-day shipping. If it's "2-days (but not if you don't like in a major city)" they should change the name.micah211 wrote:Might be location. I've never had a problem with Amazon shipping.

Cross-play for D2?

Yessss. Join the PS4 revolution. The CCG Destiny Dream team dream is alive! We shall rise from the fearful prognostications of our enemies like glorious fiery nightmares! Fighting in the name of honor, glory, and ALMOST ALL THE LEWT!
(Almost all, you see, because we would be a Christian team, and all the lewt would be greedy.)
Is crossplay a thing? If so, I'm glad. Larger player base means more players. It seems to work fine in Paragon. Of course, it would mean the PS4 exclusive content can't be maps like normal, because that would immediately make matchmaking more complicated. But I'm OK with that.
See above. Do it. Flames, glory. LEWT. People losing control of their bowels when they see the 'CCG' label before a gamer tag. LIVE THE DREAM...on PS4, so I can tag along. XDDeepfreeze32 wrote: Yeah, I'm thinking I might pre-order that $100 version for PS4, then wait for a cheap sale on the collection or whatever to play with friends on PC. XD

Actually, given I've only had a current-gen console since Christmas, that hasn't happened to me in awhile. Most of the games I get excited about I've read several dissertations and reviews on before I get excited over them.
Last time that happened was...Dead Space: Extraction, I think. I was hyped over getting to not only play a Dead Space game, but having a scary game for Halloween. Fifteen minutes in, it quickly became a boring and endless sloggy gorefest that was embarrassingly predictable.
Bleh.

Crossplay isn't a thing in D2... But I really wanted it to be because I wanted PC version, but my friends only have PS4's.
So you're saying that if you get a shiny quest for a new gun, you wouldn't take it because it would complete your lewt collection?

Heh, I got that game for $6 a while back, thought it was worth about that. Not great, but decent enough if you want a rails shooter. The game that looks to be not as good as I hoped was Yooka-Laylee. Which is sad, but most of the reviewers seem to be critiquing its lack of innovation, when I just wanted another Banjo-type game. XD
How about the opposite: When you're hyped for a game, and it defies all of your hype and is somehow better than you hoped?

Mayhaps it will be, eventually. Seems like it would only be helpful, but I'm not the programmers behind the game. XD It leaves the possibility of exclusive maps in play, at least.micah211 wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2017 11:48 am Crossplay isn't a thing in D2... Of course I would. I would also tell everyone about the quest who asked. And any lewt found, chest open, ETC, I would share with everyone. It's more the spirit of sharing, than anything else.
That will never happen though, as I almost never complete any sort of collection. XD I find a favored gun/item, and stick with it. Even in Mario games...I've never collected all the stars.
Meh. I'm planning on ignoring the reviewers on that one, honestly. It's not supposed to be innovative; it's supposed to be a remake of Banjo-Kazooie. Reviewers who ignore that are just being pretentious. When it goes on sale, I'm planning on getting it.Deepfreeze32 wrote: Heh, I got that game for $6 a while back, thought it was worth about that. The Metroid Prime games have always fulfilled their hype quotients for me. So did Second Sight, which was one of the CubeBox2 generation's most underrated games. And I bought it after it had been out for a few years when I tracked down a used copy.
However, and this is not waffling, Destiny is probably the game I can point to as the clearest example. I was hyped over it, wanted it, finally got it...and was blown away by how amazing it was. And continued being blown away.
Those games...are the games that restore hope to jaded gamers everywhere.

I'll be honest, it wasn't until The Taken King that Destiny actually lived up to its hype for me. The vanilla game and previous expansions had good gameplay, but the story missions were not really doing it for me. The Taken King was all "Whoah."
Persona 5 is that game for me. It's completely blown away my expectations, and is just so good. The presentation is sublime.

I enjoy a good rant, and that would fuel me for a good two days.
Yeah. Destiny is just the perfect game for me, but I realize that's because a number of factors unrelated to the gameplay itself. I liked the story missions, actually. It actually felt like what that scenario would be like, to my imagining. I'm actually toning my Destiny 2 hype down so that I don't cross the line and over hype it to heights no game could ever reach.Deepfreeze32 wrote: I'll be honest, it wasn't until The Taken King that Destiny actually lived up to its hype for me. Soda. RC Cola, preferably. Sweet iced tea is a fair substitute if said RC cannot be found. Coffee if literally nothing else is available, or I need straight caffeine and have no time to enjoy my beverage.
Probably having to due with all the dissolved chemicals in soda, it's easier to chug large amounts of black coffee.

Yeah, I'm a black coffee drinker myself. I just need caffeine, and I need it quick. XD
So Persona 5's ambient music in the background is soft and slow, but I love it.
For example, this is the music that plays as you explore the first dungeon:
What do you think?
