Back when I played it like crazy, I think I hit 18. Didn't last long, though. I know I hit 15 at least.

It's been a long time since I've played, but I know I've gotten to upper teens before. I used to play on an original game boy. Lol!

My son read an article about memory and PTSD. (Yes, this is about Tetris.)

There are six distinct areas of the brain where memories are stored.

Ever had the tetris effect? You stop playing, but everything you look at seems like tetris pieces and your brain is trying to fit the tree by the road on top of the house a little ways down.

Well ... someone figured out that genuinely traumatic events ... the kind that are not just remembered, but actually relived like they are happening again ... are stored in the same part of the brain as tetris.

So, if soldiers who experience the events most likely to cause PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) will play tetris within two or three hours of the event, the tetris effect will override the memory. The person will still remember the event, but is drastically less likely for it to be a debilitating disorder.

I am VERY good at Tetris. I should join the Olympics.
I've seen level 15 many times, level 18 twice, level 19 once and level 20 once. Even had a chance to see level 21 once.
Only once, and it didn't last long. Good days (or nights) will get me to level 15 or 16 again most of the time but...
**sigh**
...I guess I'm getting older. But if I did it once, I should be able to do it again.
(Now I'm kinda glad my wife likes to watch me play LOL!)
Peace!

If God is my Pilot and fully in control of the flight, I guess that makes me a Steward on the plane. How may I serve you?

I can only get up to level 7. I wish I knew how to make sprites with Tetris.
