How do I debunk thee? Let me count the ways.
I debunk thee to the depth and breadth and low
of Tectonic evolution through which we know
where now are deserts, were oceans and waves
I debunk thee in cultural myths and stories, both short and tall,
of surely the biblical account is plagiarized,
from Gilgameshian lore which it surmised,
and all cultures know of floods when their world was small.
I debunk thee in that a global catastrophe
Especially so recent to have been recorded
must leave more evidence for us to see
The explanations are left for want and sordid
If only the self proclaimed skeptics would be
as scrutinous of their own theories of what the Lord did
My logic is sounder than my sonnet, but serious. I straight up reworded Elizabeth Barrett Browning. You might not like what I said, but come on, I got some style.

It's weird if you think of only our current time. But the Sahara desert wasn't always a desert. Many desert regions were once ocean beds, just like in our country. Even in our limited window, we see the Sahara growing and changing. It's all really fascinating.
And yeah, the cockiness of the article is probably what sent me into prose.
