So, I downloaded Steam yesterday and set up TF2. I'm getting a crash when I enter the game, and I can't figure out how to solve it. I don't have the problem when my internet filter turns off my access to the internet, but the rest of the time, whenever I enter the game (ie select my team) it immediately closes. No error or anything, it just closes. Any ideas?

By the way, my steam name is KLegoFan.
@Cheryl: Thanks for a wonderful community. It is a pleasure and honor to be a part of it.

Hmmmm. I can't think of anything outside verifying your game cache or deleting and re-installing (the former is much quicker than the latter, for the record).

Here's a Steam forum post of the same topic. They're very helpful and can usually solve most problems you're having with a game.
