I myself do like me some remixes,
although I do have a hard time finding remixes that I listen over the original track.
So inspired by that excellent Best video game music thread, and wanting to discover more great remixes.
I thought a thread of the best or personal favorite video game music remixes should be made.
So feel free share some of your favorite remixes here!
As for me, I really do like these three.
Though I did find these three.
This one is based off of an old Lord of the Rings game for the NES,
this is actually a remix of the game's shire theme.
I love the sound coming from that acoustic guitar.
This is a really neat one,
It's the town theme of Clock Town from Majora's Mask.
Sometimes it sounds like it's being played in the town itself.
The wind lead instrument is indeed an ocarina,
and it's played by my favorite ocarina player, Dojazz4.
This one is just really catchy.
It's from Pokemon Red Rescue Team,
which had a surprisingly deep story for a pokemon game back then.
Funny enough this remix kind of makes me think of Metroid Prime.
Best/favorite video game music remixes.

I'm loving that Zelda Clock Town remix... Very catchy.
I'm generally not too much into remixes of video game music, but I have a few favourites:
Haunting vocal interpretation of the Max Payne theme.
I'm pretty sure I've posted this here before, but I think it's good enough to warrant reposting:
Brooding orchestral rework of the ghost house music from Super Mario World.

You really can't reference video music remixes without bringing up Sonic.
Now even though there are tons of excellent Sonic remixes, this is a good one to mention because its pretty obscure and yet brings such a fresh take to Sonic music:
Also love this one because its like if they made a detective noir Zelda game \ movie \ TV show \ comic book \ romance novel:

Just for funsies, here's a quick rough remix of "Address Unknown," the in-game tv show in Max Payne 2, that I did about a year and a half ago:

I know that this thread is supposed to be for the "best" remixes, but I thought this might apply tangentially (and I've been looking for an excuse to post it ). I had fun making it, anyway.
