I used to love playing this game. Sure, it got pretty hard at times, but it was great fun, especially after beating a hard boss after having died multiple times. A couple other great features are the scenery and soundtrack. Every now an then I would stop and just sit and listen to the wonderful miusic and lsoak in the gorgeous landscapes. Why haven't they made a port for this game already?

Ahem.
Or, if you prefer to play it on your DS, here you go.
Emulation also is possible, if you wish to pursue that avenue.
But that reminds me, I should play that game again and try to finish it. Never got that far last time....

CCGR! you've got to play it - there are 10 (or is it 12) different endings depending on choices you made. It was revolutionary in its time and still is a favorite of mine.

Actually, there are 16 in all. One of my biggest goals in gaming is to get all the endings.N1ghtBreak3r wrote:CCGR! you've got to play it - there are 10 (or is it 12) different endings depending on choices you made. It was revolutionary in its time and still is a favorite of mine.

I don't miss it because I still have it on my DS. <3 Best RPG ever. Best music ever, I think.

Yes, I do miss CT.
Since you mentioned the (very good!) music, here's some rather well-done remixes of some of it. It's really impressive.

And for those who care there IS a far removed sequel called Chrono Cross. It's not quite as good but it's still fun none the less.

I distinctly remember saving up significant money ($85? Cartridges were pricey back then) in my teen years for this game, and seeing every (yes, all of them) endings. It's definitely one of my all time favorite games. Back in those days, if a game had Square on the label, it was an instant buy sight unseen. Their reputation really was that good back then, and a well deserved one at that. I also remember being the first of my friends to find Magus' hidden ultimate weapon. Good times.

That. But for me, it was finding Rainbow and the Rainbow armor.
Glorious victory.
Glorious victory.
