except I paid $750 and swapped out the HDD for a 7200RPM one. This laptop is 10lbs and HUGE, got a backpack especially for it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/200918657061?ss ... 1497.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The power brick is literally the size of a brick, no joke. This sucker is power hungry and doesn't have much battery life. Performance wise it's pretty nice and the cooling on it is great. Haven't decided if I will attempt overclocking it or not.

Very nice. That certainly doesn't look like one of those portable laptops, though. But then, I suppose it doesn't have to be.

depends on what you mean by portable. It's not something I'll take with me to the park or expect much use on a plane. But...if' I'm traveling or going to a LAN party it will be fine as long as power is provided :D

Yeah, I meant portable like jumping around and dancing in the Surface commercials.

My developer's laptop.........is my gaming laptop. Now if only I can get it to stop heating up so fast.

Nice pick, CCGR. Steam friend trying to save up for one, too. Forgot which one it was, though.
