Santa Claus is a hero of mine. <3
The whole elf/non-elf argument has gone on for centuries. For myself, I fail to see how it matters. But the phrase could've simply described his short stature and/or pointy ears.
There's also a theory out there that he was a human gifted with elfdom because of his good deeds. Which explains his immortality and the magical properties needed to give presents to all the children of the world.
Also, his fondness for cookies and milk. Though admittedly, I know few people--human or otherwise--who dislike milk and cookies.

The only reason I called Santa an elf in the thread title is because I honestly didn't know what else to call him. It's kind of hard to distinguish what race Santa Claus belongs to and, referring to the quote ArcticFox posted earlier, the best conclusion I could come up with was that he was an elf.Pheonix wrote:Santa Claus isn't an elf.
