Hey lads and ladettes!

We made a physics based 2d indie game, for which here's a video I just shot (I'm not a native speaker so bear with me):

If you are interested in testing it out, send me a message through here, Steam or something and I'll hook you up with a copy. I'm currently looking for:
- Ideas (levels, concepts, bombs, building objects)
- Overall feedback, encouragement & my lost motivation for this project :)
- Professional artist perhaps, as the graphics I've drawn don't reach the standard I'd love to have... the SFX side could use some work too

I don't know what's the future of the project, this version was made in late March and I haven't felt like working on it since. It's a strictly family friendly casual game, where you demolish buildings (no violence involved). Sure, it involves bombs to bring down those empty buildings, but I'd say it's less violent than e.g. Angry Birds. It's made with the Unity (3d) engine, even if it's a 2d game. I'd love to hear from ya'all and maybe find a path to take with this hobby!

Cheers

Interesting concept. Are you planning touch screen/mobile device support ?

That is a good point and it's been one of the main questions. There are two major restrictions:
- The free license for Unity does not support mobile platform development. I would have to get a rather expensive Pro-license to start developing for iOS/Android/etc.
- The PhysX physics engine is rather heavy. For example on my dual core laptop the tower level starting at 11:50 can get a bit staggerish, so I can imagine it'd kill a mobile platform. This is partially because I haven't been able to optimize the engine as much as I'd want to, partially due to the large amount of objects on screen interacting, so it might help to reduce level complexity. But that level is one of my favorites so I really wouldn't want to leave it out :)

What we decided, was to get a working PC version first and then see about other solutions. There's a computer lab at my university, where they offer Unity Pro, so I could start playing around with it in respect to developing something for the hand-held devices.

That's understandable. I've only dabbled with the Unity 3D engine. Mad props for fleshing out a game with it! :)

Hey man!

Thanks for volunteering! :) do you happen to use Steam?

I want to emphasize, that I don't want you to force yourself to waste your time. So play only as long as you feel like; optimal situation would of course be, that you would enjoy playing.

Here is a temporary download link that I will take down in few days:
taken down
I have added two new test world types since I made this video; World 6 features a water world, still working on profiling that. World 7 is "Landslideia", which includes very sloped levels.

I'm assuming that you're on a PC (?). Unity supports also Mac-ports, but I haven't yet tested this aspect as I have never used OS X myself.

Wow, that's a fun game!
I have not done all the levels yet, but I will get there. (Then I am going to try to get three stars on all of them. :) )
I think my favorite tool are the rockets. (Even though I have not found a good time to use them yet. XD)

Oh and yes I do use Steam,
my name is the same as it is here. "JOJ650s"
