There is supposed to be an HD zelda in the works for the wii u. What are your thoughts on it. Do you think it should be twilight princess style graphics, or they should stick with the skyward sword graphics

I've seen the E3 demo, and I have to say, I'm impressed. To me, it's honestly not a question of whether or not it will be amazing, it's a question of what will be changed. That being said, I think the big N is going to go the (more or less) realistic route.
Because:
1. The E3 video
2. Their last game was cel-shaded (Skyward Sword)
3. They seem to alternate styles unless the game in question is a direct sequel
So unless the next game is a sequel to Wind Waker or Skyward Sword, I'm guessing realistic.

Honestly, I'm not sure on what style Nintendo would use. I'm leaning on the "realistic" style seeing as it's HD graphics and Nintendo is trying get that "hardcore" audience back. Which they will if the rumors are true that the PS4 won't have backwards compatibility and won't let you play used games, and that the Xbox 720 isn't going to have a disc drive. I just hope they don't go with the Twilight Princess style because the monsters looked creepy enough on the GameCube and Wii.

And this what we got in 2003

I wouldn't go upon the E3 video I mean just look at the Space World 2000's concept for the GameCube1. The E3 video

And this what we got in 2003

You're forgetting that we did see a realistic Link...at least in SoulCalibur anyway.TheHoneyBadgr wrote:I wouldn't go upon the E3 video I mean just look at the Space World 2000's concept for the GameCube1. The E3 video

Good point, I didn't think of that, but that wasn't a Zelda game. That game wasn't even developed by Nintendo.Nate DaZombie wrote:You're forgetting that we did see a realistic Link...at least in SoulCalibur anyway.TheHoneyBadgr wrote:I wouldn't go upon the E3 video I mean just look at the Space World 2000's concept for the GameCube1. True, it wasn't by Nintendo. But I'm just thinking they'll go realistic because the last game that had that style was Twilight Princess. The DS games are cel-shaded as well, so it just seems like the right time for another realistic game.TheHoneyBadgr wrote: Good point, I didn't think of that, but that wasn't a Zelda game. Yeah, I agree with you on that especially with the huge jump in graphic resolution. I just don't think it will look like Twilight Princess.Nate DaZombie wrote:True, it wasn't by Nintendo. I like both styles personally, but I kind of want a semi-realistic Zelda as the next console title. My favorite would be Skyward Sword's art style, but I just want something different. Also as I stated above I think that it will be the more "realistic" art style considering Nintendo probably wants to really show off the Wii U's power.blazikid wrote:I definatly do jnot want a twilight princess style game. I would actually love them to do something completly different graphicly. I mean they have done that in the past for every 3d zelda so thats probably what they will doTheHoneyBadgr wrote:I like both styles personally, but I kind of want a semi-realistic Zelda as the next console title.
