So I think I'm a little more than halfway through campaign mode, and have gotten to level 6 in Multiplayer.

Is anyone else disturbed by the fact that you need to enter a code to get beyond level 5 in Multiplayer?

If you don't know, here's how it works: On the back of the booklet that comes with the game (At least, this is how it is on the XBox360 version) is a token you have to redeem in order to unlock levels above 5 in Multiplayer. Once used, that token's used up. The only possible reason for this that I can think of is that it's a way for them to undermine the secondary market by destroying the game's resale value.

Other than that, the game is AWESOME. I pre-ordered mine from GameStop so I could get the Black Templars elite skin for multiplayer.

that's old school copy protection where you have to own the game and the manual. I remember games asking for a word on a certain page back in the day. /datingmyself

Yep, I remember those. Interplay was one of the biggest ones for that.

Which, considering that was protecting against piracy, was understandable. Reselling your game on eBay isn't piracy. Now, if you do own a used copy of the game whose token is used, you can buy a new token through XBox Live! but I don't know how much it costs.

I've been looking at this game for quite a while, but given the reviews, I'll probably wait for a price drop. Looks worth it, but not worth $60. :P

I think it's worth the $60, but that's just me. I buy games rarely these days, so it's not as big a hit that way. One thing I'd toss out there as a caveat... This game is BLOODY. I don't mean bloody in a "Hey, that guy's head exploded when I shot him" way. I mean "Hey I'm done playing Space Marine, I think I need a shower and some bloodstain remover for my shirt."

Not only do orks splatter in a cloud of chunky gore when you do executions on them, but after a fight your character's blue/gold armor is caked with thick globs of viscera and gore. I mean gobs and gobs of blood in a virtual cloud of vitae so thick it actually gets hard to see what you're doing sometimes.

So...you get to violently chainsaw orks...in space...as a space marine?

Can someone tell me how this is not already labeled 'greatest game ever'? XD

I tested the demo... it was alright, but not as good as I would want from a game set on the Warhammer universe :/ a bit too hack'n'slashish for my taste.
You can find me from the CCGR Steam-group, feel free to add me as a friend!
