Any one going to get Battlefield 3? I can't wait to get my hands on this game, I love how big of an area the battlefield games give you for multiplayer.
I will be getting it for the PC.

Yeah, I'll probably be picking it up for PC too... eventually. Just so long as you can turn off the in-game dialog, like in BC2. 'Cause there's going to be a LOT of swearing in this one too, unfortunately.

Already preordered it for PC. Looking forward to it big time, got my hopes up - hopefully not in vain. Loved BF2, BF:BC2 was ok.

I'm only really getting it for multiplayer, not a big fan of battlefield campaign. The multiplayer is so nice in the games with the large maps and many guns/equipment.
You can turn off the swearing in BC2? I looked one time and never found a way so just lived with it.

I'll be getting this on 360 and eventually on PC. And yeah i turn off the voices too because the swearing in MP is annoyingly constant

Looks more like BC2 than BF2 which kinda has me disappointed. Don't know if I'll pick it up with Gears 3 coming out.

Been playing the open beta, and I must say the graphics (especially animations), sound effects, destroyable environment and the overall atmosphere are top notch. If they'll just fix some severe bugs (falling through the ground, "jumpy" ground sometimes when proning, crashing of the game) I'm sure I'll love this game big time. It's too bad they picked an infantry map for the open beta, Battlefield is imho best at 64 players with tanks, jets and choppers.
I am glad about some of the decisions they did, take for example the suppressive fire. Now it counts just getting shot at, just like I would want it. Then again some of the decisions are rather sketchy, for example the Facebook-like game browser that seems like a social media interface, not a server browser.
Just looking at this Caspian Border -map alpha gameplay footage runs shivers down my spine. That's Battlefield alright.

I wasn't too impressed with the beta but i'll still get it sometime this year. Also didn't like that there was no option to turn off the voices
