I was wondering if anyone played this browser based game which resembles risk?

Yeah, you're going to get that with pretty much any turn based strategy game. The last Risk game I played I came within a hair of coming from the brink of defeat and winning it all. There were four of us and only one player was doing well at all (Green). The other two players and I were pretty evenly matched and all had several cards. My next turn I was able to get a good turn in and decided to make my move. Green had taken the Americas and most of Asia, Australia and Africa, so the rest of us were bunched together in Europe. I was able to sweep though and take out the other players. From there cards I was able to get two more turn ins! I had to go for broke. If I let Green was sure to have a turn in, and if I let him keep any of his contents I would soon be boxed in with no reinforcements to speak of. So I made a push. I was able to take most of Africa, a slice of Asia, a bit of Australia and pushed into North America. Now he just has South America uncontested. If I could break his hold he wouldn't be able to mount much of a counter offensive and it would just be a mater of time before I could isolate any pockets of resistance. My numbers were weakened but still greater than his garrisons protecting his North and Eastern entry points. However, the dice turned against me and my army repelled. With South America secure and a turn in sure to come soon I conceded. Sure I lost, but was it fun while it lasted! The ironic thing is that the Green player was the youngest and most inexperienced player there. In fact, if it weren't for the advice another player and me, he would have been out of the game long ago.

I remember trying this once. It was alright, but not intensive enough imo.

Of course, I'm used to playing games that last days on end with certain rule tweaks to allow longer runs.

I used to play a lot of Conquer Club. Some friends got me interested in it. I love their maps. I just wish they would do a single player, offline mode against NPCs. Their maps are good enough to warrant an entire release. They were not interested though.
