Gotta say, of the ones I've played, Twilight Imperium is the most hardcore. Each time I've played a game, it ends up taking up to 9 hours. Still a blast, though.

41 of the 76. Although I'm not sure about why some of those games were included in the list... for example, why "A Game of Thrones," but not Twixt?

Can't speak for the omission of Twixt, but I can vouch for "A Game of Thrones" being a very solid, very slick deck-building game. It's kind of like Dominion, but with extra elements found in the book and TV show. It's boatloads of fun to play.

Give me some time, and I'll have Dominion, 7 Wonders, Arkham Horror, Diplomacy, and Battlestar Galactica under my belt, too.

Game of Thrones was a really well made game. Not sure if we're taking about the same one, though. The one I played was a bit like Risk on steroids (or TI) in Westeros.

Same designer as for Twilight Imperium, which, I can confidently say, is the most ultimatest board game of them all. Been playing a game with my coworkers on our lunch breaks over the last 2 weeks. We're so hooked. I've literally had dreams about this. Dreams. multiple.

Anyhow, are you talking about this game?

Haven't tried it yet, but it looks fun.
I love me some Fantasy Flight.

Yeah, that was the one I was talking about. It's a blast.

Also, 7 Wonders, Dominion, and Battlestar Galactica are all awesome. Especially Dominion and BSG. Dominion is an awesome game all around, and the Battlestar Galactica board game is really, really awesome. Highly recommend them.

I love Small World. Pandemic has a learning curve. To this day, I still get confused.

I'm surprised the original Talisman game isn't on the list.
