Question concerning the content of Ace Attorney

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

Hi! :)

Here I'm back again to ask another question.
I'm interested in the Ace Attorney games for DS and 3DS. Now I wonder if there is any bad content in them. I've read in another forum that all games of this series before Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney have some spirit mediums in them, so that's a no-go for me. Can you please tell me a little bit about the following games? Thanks a lot!

Haven't played them but according to esrb there is violence in them all and some have suggestive themes and language

They're criminal investigation games. And in every case I can think of, a murder or death is involved. The whole spirit medium thing is...well, weird. I can't get the games straight in my head (It's been way too long), but in at least one of them your assistant is possessed by the spirit of her dead sister. It's a strange game...

It's a very good experience, though. It's a very compelling narrative interwoven with some pretty good investigation mechanics.

Hello again!
I have actually recently played all of the games up to Apollo Justice,
and yeah... Unfortunately the whole spirit medium thing plays a rather big role in the first three games.
Not to mention the games tend to have a number of suggestive themes.

Apollo Justice doesn't have spirit mediums and I recall it's cleaner than the games before it,
but there is still a bit of suggestive content in it, also the game is a bit connected to the others
and the game right after it is rated M so... It might be best to not even start.

I haven't played the spin off that stars Edgeworth, I doubt there are spirit mediums in that,
but if it's like the other games; there is bound to be suggestive content.

As for the Professor Layton cross over...
The game still hasn't made it to the US.
So I can only guess currently.
I do know that the spirit medium is in it,
but I have no idea if she does any of that in this game.

Well, hopefully that helps.
Let me know if you need or want more details.
Be part of the answer, not part of the problem.
