Interesting I don't recall seeing swearing in Stardew Valley yet. I skip a lot of dialog though.

Yes, there is. It has no blood options. The nice thing is that neither game require any mods. It's done through simple console commands.

run the game. go into options enable able the console. press the "`". It's left of the number 1 on your keyboard. Then you type in these commands:

violence_hblood 0
violence_hgibs 0
violence_ablood 0
violence_agibs 0

The console will automatically start pulling up commands based on what you're typing. You can click them or use tab to move through the options.

This disables the blood. This works for the original half life and half life 2. You'll have to do it every time you launch the game or you can go into the game and go to the launch properties. (right click the game in steam and go to properties->general tab->launch options) Put those command in there with a space in between each of them.

It's a character named Alex according to the forum and it sounded like it was one of very few words. The original poster basically said they weren't allowed to play the game because of it so they were looking for a solution. Glad someone was able to help them.

I've not come across a no swear mod for Half Life or Half Life 2. Swearing was pretty light and infrequent in both games, though, I would love there to be no swearing.
Half Life 1: I remember it was mostly the military soldiers who did the swearing. A few s-words, a**, and maybe a few other words.
Half life 2:I remember that it was occasionally Barney, the security officer, Alex, and the combine soldiers. Mostly D-words and H words. S-words were said by the soldiers in both games. I haven't played the games for a while so I don't remember everything, but that's what I remember off the top of my head.

There's a great modding community built around both games. Do some googling and you may find ways to get the audio edited. I know it's got to be possible because there's a mod where a guy replaces most of the game's sound with his own voice. You can find a funny video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwxN8sCIOOE. Give it a go and see what you can accomplish!

Found another mod! This is a no blood mod for Dragon Age Origins. (I'm assuming origins because the release date for the mod is 2009)
You can find it here:
http://social.bioware.com/project/396/#files
It has a "less blood version" and a "no blood version"

I also found a similar mod on Fileplanet. It can be found here:
http://www.fileplanet.com/207199/200000 ... -Blood-Mod

*Note: it doesn't remove the blood from the pre-rendered cutscenes.
I don't own the game so I can't verifty it works. Does someone have a minute they could try it out and post here to let us know?

I'm also curious to know if this mod would work with any of the other Dragon Age games.

This is a really good idea! I'm looking to make my channel family-friendly, and that can be difficult when most of the games that are released have something inappropriate...

Hey guys, I found another mod. I recommend this one with a caution.

This is a family friendly mod for Grand Theft Auto 5. Here's the exact discription from the mod page,

"This project aims for making roaming/exploring in GTA V a smoother experience, with less interrupting elements and no violence. Focus is on making the game have as little violence and disturbance as possible but this can be customized in the configuration file if you like to do violent missions for example."

It seems to have options to remove strippers, language. It has a bunch of customization options on the left side of the page. I don't know if it affects the story line dialog cursing or not.

You can find the mod here:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/famil ... ee-roaming

I've never had any interest in any of the GTA series, but maybe some of you will. There's ways to have different levels of violence from what the description reads. Also on the page in the link there are several videos that will show you what the mod does.

If someone who owns the game could chime in after they've used/tested out the mod that might be helpful to the community. Thanks

If any of you guys frequent gog.com, they have a sale going on right now. They have System Shock 2 for free for the next 38 hours (at the time of this posting.)

I'm making a no swear mod for it if you're interested. Still working on the mod.If you wanted to pick up the game for free and give it a go, now is a great time.

Who knows maybe you'll find some old classics there too. I have a few mods for games from gog if you want to check out my mods I've published over on moddb.com. http://www.moddb.com/members/general-redfox/addons. Many of the games I've made mods for will be on sale.
