What would be your choice for Game of the Year 2013?

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

Sure, by this point, the term "Game of the Year" has been exhausted of any relevance, but it's still fun to play with. What do you feel the best game released this year was, and why?

Just for fun, a list of some of the major critics' choices.

Great idea!
Funny enough now that I think of it...
I haven't really played many games from 2013 yet. :P
I pretty much only have around three for PC, (Don't Starve, Duck Tales, Sonic & all stars racing transformed.)
and five for 3DS. (Pokemon X, Legend of Zelda: a Link between Worlds,
Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Rune Factory 4.)
Hmmm... I really liked all of those...
I'll have to think about this some more. XD

I'll probably leave out Sonic & Saga all stars racing transformed, Duck Tales, Animal Crossing and Rune Factory 4.

I got to say though,
I love how they got the original voice actor for Scrooge McDuck for the DuckTales remake,
and he still sounds amazing at the age of 94. ^-^
Be part of the answer, not part of the problem.

I want to say Bioshock: Infinite because of it's amazing story, but I just had a better time with Grand Theft Auto V. It had a good story, amazing characters and was just a blast to play.

Avadon 2.

However, keep in mind that's the only game I've played that was released in 2013. Once I get more exposure / play time with this year's releases, this may change.
