I appreciate the suggestion, but my girlfriend isn't a techie, and $225 dollars to a guy like me is basically the Taj Mahal.

An 'I pledge my love forever,' is definitely appropriate. Encouraged, in fact.

As far as skills, I write and play guitar. And piano. And I design graphic art on GIMP and such.

Write her a long, long letter. Be descriptive in your descriptions of your feelings. It sounds cheesy, but many girls LOEV IT DEWD

Write her a song. Guitar, probably. Make it cheesy :P

Make her dinner. If you can't cook that well, pick something simple like spaghetti and sparkling cider (boil noodles. add Ragu. Alakazam :P)

moar to come. you'd be surprised how much doesn't require much or any money.

Make this cheesy too. And garlicky. Nothing says 'I love you' like coughing up a cheese created, garlic scented loogie. The ladies love that. And the farther you spit it, the more impressed they are.

If he said it would be appropriate, it's safe to assume they are?

It was more of a joke than anything else. I have never actually done that, thankfully.

I'm still working on my SV Day gift.... >.> ...needless to say I'm stuck... I have the day planned out, she's getting flowers and chocholate and dinner and a movie, but that's all so generic I get the feeling there should be something else....
